Student and Staff Bios
Peter Alexander (Board Member/Junior) West Theatre: Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Stage Crew), The Diary of Anne Frank (House Crew), He represents Lakota West Theatre as a Cappies Critic, and not only does he like to get things done but he likes to have fun doing so.
Jessica Burley (Assistant Business Manager/Senior) West Theatre: Bang, Bang You're Dead (Mother), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Chorus), Broadway Bound (Performer), The Diary of Anne Frank (Anne Frank), Four Sisters (Lucy), 42nd Street (Chorus), and The Sound of Music (Marta). She is in Musical Theatre Revue, takes voice lessons and loves to dance.
Melody Gay (Board Member/Senior) West Theatre: Reservations (Victoria), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Wardrobe), Broadway Bound (Performer), 42nd Street (Chorus Member). This year Melody is a veteran member of Musical Theatre Revue and is training rigorously to pursue a vocal performance degree in college.
Christina Gillis (Board Member/Junior) West Theatre: Disney's Beauty and the Beast (House Manager), The Diary of Anne Frank (House Crew). Freshman Theatre: Christmas Carol (Narrator). Christina fell in love with acting when she got her first taste of the stage as the Queen of Hearts in her 5th grade play. Now she is involved in Acting Two class and an active crew member. She is also in marching band and enjoys playing her alto saxophone. West Theatre has captured Christina's heart and she is very proud to be apart of it.
Alli Harlow (Board Member/Junior) West Theatre: A Season on the Brink (Chip Saturday), Grocery (CEO), Disney’s Disney's Beauty and the Beast, The Diary of Anne Frank, 42nd Street, and Dearly Departed (all backstage running crew). In addition to her love of all things backstage, Alli is a gifted artist who takes as many art classes as she can. Alli will also represent Lakota West as a Cappies critic this season.
Megan Johnston (Board member/Junior) West Theatre: Reservations (Poppy), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Silly Girl), Broadway Bound (Performer), The Diary of Anne Frank (Make-up and Hair Crew), 42nd Street (Chorus). This is Megan's second year in Musical Theatre Revue. She also takes voice lessons from Karl Resnik and was an Overture Semi-finalist in vocal performance last year. She plans on pursuing a degree in vocal performance in college.
Jon Kovach (Board Member/Senior) West Theatre: Bang, Bang You're Dead (Michael), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere), The Mystery of the Birds (Mr. D). Jon will perform with the Musical Theatre Revue, will represent Lakota West as a Cappies Critic, and will be directing a one act in the spring. Jon also played varsity soccer for Lakota.
Cooper McCullough (Board Member/Senior) West Theatre: Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Cogsworth), The Diary of Anne Frank (House Crew), 42nd Street (Chorus). Cooper also participated in West's summer theatre camp. Cooper is very involved musically in and out of West. He plays saxophone in Marching Band (which will be performing at the Rose Bowl in January), Jazz Ensemble, and Symphonic Winds. Cooper also studies piano and saxophone privately and loves singing at church.
Megan McGill (Board Member/Senior) West Theatre: Bang, Bang, You're Dead (Student Director), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Broadway Bound (Performer), The Diary of Anne Frank (Mrs. Frank), The Pardoner’s Tale (Alana Rose), 42nd Street (Anytime Annie), Dearly Departed (Joy of Life Singer), Seussical (Mrs. Mayor). Megan performs with Musical Theatre Revue, represents Lakota West Theatre as a Cappies Critic, and was an Overture Finalist in vocal performance last year. She performed as a semifinalist at the Classical Singer convention in San Francisco this year. Megan is training to pursue a degree in Vocal Performance.
Kyle McIntire (Board Member/Senior) West Theatre: Bang, Bang, You're Dead (Voice in the Dark), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Maurice), Broadway Bound (Performer), 42nd Street (Tap Dancer), Seussical (Mr. Mayor), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Children’s Chorus). Other roles: CYPT's Anything Goes (Captain), CMT's Hello Dolly (Male Ensemble). Kyle performs with Musical Theatre Revue and takes acting courses. He studies voice with Karl Resnik and is training to pursue a degree in Musical Theatre.
Tyler Ostrander (Board Member/Junior) West Theatre: Grocery (Steve), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Chorus), The Diary of Anne Frank (Nazi). He is in Musical Theatre Revue, is a member of Lakota West's Men's Varsity Volleyball team, and loves to act.
Sarah Ristau (Board Member/Senior) West Theatre: Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Assistant Costume Crew Chief), The Diary of Anne Frank (Costume Crew), 42nd Street (Costume Crew), Dearly Departed (Costume Crew). Sarah is also involved in Peer Counseling, Mu Alpha Theta, and Spanish Club.
Jen Shroder (Board Member/Senior) West Theatre: Reservations (Girl), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Babette), Broadway Bound (Performer), The Diary of Anne Frank (Hair and Make-up Crew), 42nd Street (Lorraine Flemming), My Fair Lady (Chorus). Jen is the dance captain of Musical Theatre Revue at West and is very involved in Peer Counseling. Jen has danced for most of her life and also trains vocally. She plans to major in either business or communications.
Ryan Slone (President/Assistant Business Manager/Senior) West Theatre: Bang, Bang, You're Dead (Voice in the Dark), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Beast), Broadway Bound (Performer), The Diary of Anne Frank (Peter van Daan), 42nd Street (Tap Dancing Thug), Dearly Departed (Joy of Life Singer). Other roles: MCP’s My Fair Lady (Freddy), Fiddler on the Roof, (Fyedka) and The Sound of Music. At 10 Ryan became one of the first Americans to join the Vienna Boys Choir, spending 15 months living in Vienna and touring the world with the choir—without his parents. He also sings with the May Festival Youth Chorus and is involved in four choirs at school and one at church. Ryan was an Overture Semi-finalist in vocal performance last year.
Alexa von Bargen (Board Member/Senior) West Theatre: Apostrophes' (Kevin), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Chip), The Diary of Anne Frank (Crew), 42nd Street (Crew), Dearly Departed (Crew). Alexa is an art freak! She sings, acts, paints, and takes photographs—that is when she's not busy doing her hair. Alexa is also a member of Peer Counseling, works at the West Chester Library and is a Cappies Critic. She plans to devote the rest of her life to some kind of art.
